The 2026 UMC Provider Education and Well-Being Symposium isn’t just another medical conference—it’s a transformative experience designed to educate, inspire, and reenergize today’s healthcare professionals. Created by providers, for providers, this forward-thinking event blends cutting-edge clinical education with a powerful focus on well-being, connection, and interprofessional collaboration.

This dynamic symposium brings healthcare teams together to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and explore innovative strategies that elevate both patient care and provider wellness. Attendees will engage with evidence-based clinical updates, breakthrough approaches to team-based care, and practical tools that support population health, preventive care, and chronic disease management. The program also shines a spotlight on the impact of social determinants of health, enhances interprofessional communication, and equips participants with proven methods to identify and address provider burnout.

Designed to spark collaboration and drive meaningful change, the symposium empowers healthcare professionals with actionable insights to improve care coordination, reduce disparities, and advance outcomes for the diverse communities they serve.

1. Describe current evidence-based guidelines and population health strategies relevant to team-based care delivery.
2. Explain the impact of social determinants of health on patient outcomes across diverse populations.
3. Recognize signs, risk factors, and system contributors to provider burnout and their effects on healthcare teams.
4. Apply evidence-based guidelines in clinical decision-making within an interprofessional team setting.
5. Demonstrate effective interprofessional communication strategies to enhance care coordination.
6. Integrate social determinants of health into patient assessment and management plans.
7. Implement team-based workflows that support preventive care and chronic disease management.
8. Evaluate current practice patterns for gaps in guideline adherence, care coordination, and health equity.
9. Develop strategies to improve team-based care delivery and reduce health disparities.
10. Incorporate provider well-being strategies into practice to reduce burnout and improve team performance.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center adheres to the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. Individuals in a position to control the content of a CE activity, including faculty, planners, reviewers, and others, are required to disclose all financial relationships with ineligible companies within the past 24 months.

 TTUHSC reviews disclosed financial relationships to determine whether they are relevant to the educational content. Any relevant financial relationships are mitigated prior to the individual assuming their role in the activity.
