This enduring material reviews the importance of early screening and detection of maternal mental health concerns. Participants examine screening tools and best practices, learn to use resources available through the PeriPAN website, and explore strategies for integrating screening into routine prenatal and postpartum care. The activity prepares physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare team members to identify concerns, assess psychosocial and safety needs, communicate findings, coordinate follow-up, and connect patients and families with appropriate clinical and community resources.

1. Discuss the importance of early screening and detection of mental health issues in pregnant individuals.
2. Identify screening tools and best practices for healthcare providers.
3. Review how to utilize tools on the PeriPAN website.
4. Explore strategies for integrating mental health screenings into routine prenatal care.
5. Collaborate with members of the healthcare team to support consistent maternal mental health screening, appropriate followup, and referral to available resources.

Registration is required to participate in this enduring material and claim credit. Go to the TTUHSC CloudCME portal and select the activity. After registering, select My CME from the menu, then select Tests to access the pre-test, educational video, post-test, and evaluation. Learners must complete all required components to receive credit.
