Rural Oncology Care Symposium

1. Identify challenges in managing multidisciplinary cancer care in rural settings.
2. Apply disease-specific cancer care strategies, including women’s health, nursing services, and prevention.
3. Coordinate multidisciplinary cancer care for patients from rural settings.
4. Describe central and rural cancer care education, services, and resources available to community providers and healthcare team members.
5. Select appropriate referral pathways and resources for patients needing cancer care in rural settings.
6. Connect patients with appropriate cancer care resources and address survivorship and healthcare needs after cancer treatment

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and UMC Cancer Center. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
