Overview

The 76th Annual KOPPA Conference will be held July 31st - August 1st, 2026 at the historic Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Conference Center in Hunt, Texas. This annual event gathers pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, respiratory care professionals and other members of the healthcare team interested in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the chest, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine and critical care medicine. This program provides a strong educational platform encouraging discussion and debate while providing updates in contemporary and cutting edge topics. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cases for open discussion. The program also includes information for providing the best care to underserved populations and uninsured patients


Objectives

As a result of attending this course, the participant should be able to:


  1. Discuss numerous developments in the management of obstructive lung disease (COPD, asthma), pulmonary embolism, ultrasound, shock, lung transplantation, and pulmonary hypertension due to rapidly changing resources and technology.
  2. Identify guideline-based diagnostics and therapeutics in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
  3. Explain advanced therapeutics and diagnostics in patient care.
  4. Develop diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the diagnosis of multiple pulmonary, sleep, and critical care disorders, including the use of circulatory support and point-of-care ultrasound.
  5. Engage in discussions about guideline-based diagnostics and therapeutics in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
  6. Demonstrate point-of-care ultrasound geared towards cardiac and lung in a hands-on session.
  7. Apply developed diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of multiple pulmonary, sleep, and critical care disorders.
  8. Construct an approach to improve patient outcomes using evidence-based data, guidelines, and access to advanced technology and therapeutics

The 76th Annual KOPPA Conference will be held at the historic Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Conference Center in Hunt, TX. This 500 acre facility is located on the banks of the Guadalupe River in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Bring your family and enjoy the multitude of activities from the historic and famous “Mo-Slide” to swimming through the rapids and canoeing near the headwaters of the Guadalupe River.

The property is also home to two (adult and children) swimming pools, children’s playgrounds, and miles of natural hiking trails. A listing of activities for you and your family are available at the Mo-Ranch website: http://www.moranch.com .

LODGING AND MEALS

Prices for lodging begin at $165 per night for single/double occupancy. Those 18 and younger will not be charged a room fee. There is a 2 night minimum requirement. Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am. Limited accommodations are available so you are encouraged to make your reservations soon. To make reservations, call Mo-Ranch at (800) 460-4401. Identify yourself as attending the KOPPA Conference.

Meals should be purchased at the same time lodging reservations are made. Meal rates for persons 12 and up are: Breakfast - $12.00; Lunch - $17.00; and Dinner - $19.50. Meals for ages 4-11 are: Breakfast - $9.00, Lunch - $11.00, and Dinner - $13.00. PLEASE NOTE: the Attendee and Family Reception dinner on August 1st is included with the conference registration package.
